The inspiration of this project is mainly draw from 30s and 40s machineries.

 

In the early 40s, right after world war ii, the economy's recession and the lack of sources resulted in the restriction of over-decorations on clothes and designs. Everything came to a minimal initiation. In terms of products, the streamlined style influenced the appearance design of everything from electric irons and toasters to refrigerators. It formed the most popular product style in the 1930s and 1940s. 

Streamline was originally an aerodynamic term used to describe the shape of an object with a smooth surface and lines, which can reduce the wind resistance of the thing when moving at high speed. But in industrial design, it has become a styling language that symbolizes speed and the spirit of the times. It is widely circulated, developing into a fashionable automotive aesthetic and infiltrating the field of household products. The style represent the time, playing important role in the history of industrial design.
